Founder's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the website of College of Ophthalmology & Allied Vision Sciences (COAVS), King Edward Medical University / Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, one of the most renowned institutions imparting ophthalmic education in Pakistan.

COAVS making it modest start in a single room in May 1999 was raised to the status of Punjab Institute of Preventive Ophthalmology (PIPO) in 2004 and re designated as College of Ophthalmology and Allied Vision Sciences (COAVS) in 2007.

This Website is designed to provide essential information how the College is working for eradication of blindness in the country through Human Resource Development (for Ophthalmology, Doctors, Nurses, Allied Eye Care, Personnel and Primary Health Care Workers), District Eye Care Programme, Disease Control Projects and awareness through media.
